Yes, we offer a children’s corner with storytime, book-related crafts, and interactive activities.

We are still looking into this but there are nearby cafes and restaurants.

A bit more . . .

2026 will be the fourth year of the Vancouver Book Fair now transitioned to the Northwest Book & Media Expo

It was originally called the Northwest Book Fun in the Sun event  (2022 and 2023) but was changed because the sun was unable to make it in 2023. It’s grumbly brothers wind and rain arrived instead.  That was a bit of a mental twisting, hair pulling and downright grumpiness in which I vowed  the outside plan was not the best plan going forward.

Weather does this rather frequently so we decided it would be easier for “us” to change than expect the weather to. Much as we would appreciate a bit more cooperation from that score.

The location then changed in 2025 from the Covington Historic House (oldest residence in Washington state) to the Artillery Barracks (historic site) at Fort Vancouver. That was a wonderful location . . . except we continue to grow each year . . . so now in 2026 we are moving up the street about six blocks to Clark College.
